Terms of Use

1. The service

PetraVox is a mobile app that identifies monuments, landmarks and works of art from your photos, and offers a description and an audio narration generated by artificial intelligence, as well as walking tours. PetraVox is published by Jimmy Adelaide, an individual developer based in the United Kingdom. By using the app, you accept these terms.

2. Your account

Using PetraVox requires an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential. An account created with an email address must be confirmed through the link sent by email. You can delete your account at any time from your profile in the app.

3. Free scans and paid offers

• Free scans: every account gets 5 free scans at sign-up.
• Travel Pass: a one-off purchase giving access for 7 days, with up to 30 scans a day and all narration styles. It does not renew. Buying another Pass adds 7 days to the current one.
• Annual plan: an auto-renewable subscription for one year, with the same benefits, starting with a 3-day free trial when offered.

Prices are shown in the app before any purchase, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.

4. Subscription renewal and cancellation

The annual plan renews automatically for one year at the same price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before that end. If you cancel during the free trial, you are not charged.

You manage and cancel your subscription from your store account: on iPhone, Settings > your name > Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play > Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the app or your PetraVox account does not cancel a subscription.

5. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds follow their rules. To request one, use reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or Google Play's order history. You can restore a purchase on a new device with the "Restore a purchase" button on the plans page.

6. Content generated by AI

Identifications, descriptions and narrations are produced automatically. Despite our efforts, they may contain errors: they are for information and do not replace a verified historical source. You can report a mistake from the place card.

7. Walking tours

Walking tours are suggestions. Stay alert to traffic, respect local rules and opening hours, and do not use the app in a way that puts you or others at risk. Distances, durations and accessibility information are given as a guide.

8. Your photos

You keep all rights to your photos. You allow us to process them only to provide the service (analysis and storage in your history). Do not send photos you are not allowed to use, or photos of people without their consent.

9. Acceptable use

You may not get around the limits of the service, automate its use, resell it or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

10. Liability

PetraVox is provided as is. We do our best to keep it available, but we cannot guarantee that it works without interruption. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of generated content. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

11. Apple

If you downloaded PetraVox from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and the publisher, not Apple, which is not responsible for the app or its content.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as PetraVox evolves. The new date will appear at the top of this page, and any significant change will be announced in the app. For any question: petravox.contact@gmail.com.
